UniFi-1 Portable: setting the embedded Wi-Fi standard

UniFi-1 Portable b/g is a multi-mode Wi-Fi solution capable of 802.11b or g operation.  The device offers a level of integration that opens up mass volume applications in consumer devices - and is capable of operation at 2.4GHz. Economy is aided by onchip license-free microcontrollers, providing a complete single-chip solution for ODMs. An extreme degree of integration ensures that few external components are required to build a system. This feature does not impact power consumption; CSR incorporated many novel features during the design to realise a device with a power consumption that is a fraction of alternative chipsets.
